Here is the September/October 2010 issue of Retirement Plan News.
Our first article presents a focus on target date funds. This article presents the participant and fiduciary issues involved in the jointly issued Department of Labor and Securities and Exchange Commission bulletin on target date funds.
Our second article covers the topic of self-audit in light of the IRS’ recent 401(k) questionnaire and other soft audits and asks the question: “Is it time for a self-audit?” This makes a great deal of sense before an actual IRS audit.
Our third article presents an overview of the recently finalized regulations dealing with diversification of employer securities. Our recent developments section first covers the ACT recommendations to the IRS on interim amendments and non-amender issues. We second cover the change in the truth-in-lending rules for participant loans.
